Hatch Restore Reviews

Positive reviews

The authors of positive reviews about Hatch Restore say that the device is really helpful for improving sleep quality. Also, many like the sunrise alarm feature the most.

The sunrise feature is great and the app works well enough.

The sunrise feature is great and the app works well enough.

This alarm has helped my sleep routine immensely. It’s well worth it.

Not perfect, but perfect for me. I go to bed with a sweet story called “A Block from Home”, use the soft pink noise to relax, wake up to the prettiest flutes ever. I love the way this looks on the counter – it fits our home. My oldest son bought it for me to help with my sleep and it is helping me get back to ‘me.

Of all features, the one that has pleasantly surprised me most is the sunrise alarm feature. Every morning, the light on the Restore syncs with the sunrise and gradually brightens, which is especially great since I like to sleep with blackout curtains. If I wake up unexpectedly in the middle of the night, this light is especially helpful in letting me know if it’s almost time to wake up (or if there’s no light, that it’s the middle of the night and okay to go back to sleep). Instead of waking up to the blaring iPhone alarm sound, I wake up from this gradual “sunrise” light brightening up my room and the peaceful sound of waves/birds chirping/etc. This has made a significant difference in my morning moods.

Negative reviews

Negative reviews are centered around some bugs a device has, being too reliant on the app aas well as on the WiFi. Moreover, you don’t have many features without paying for the subscription (which means you pay about $250 for the device and the membership).

The restore is way too reliant on an app. You cannot access the device’s features directly from the unit. If you wake up in the middle of the night and want to listen to a fall back to sleep meditation, you need to use the mobile app to reprogram the device.

The device has major glitches. My restore has randomly turned on, flashed lights and played sounds in the middle of the night. It is not restorative to be woken in the middle of the night by a rogue appliance.”
